Video-Stadio

1997

Often the most difficult thing is to see what we have under our eyes, such as the places we forget about simply because we have seen them too often. Video Stadio is the fixed frame on a corner tower of the third ring of San Siro Stadium in Milan. At the end of the match the spectators walk down the spiral ramps inside the towers and - due to an optical effect - they make the towers "spin" around themselves, so that they seem to be screwed into the ground. The towers of the San Siro Stadium without the football fans that leave the stadium at the end of the match do not spin, do not dance, do not come to life.
